Jamie + Corey: Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Cambridge Maryland

It was breezy and cool on that late September day, as the sun seemed to shine into every crack and crevice at the amazing Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Maryland.  She was surrounded by her most treasured friends, wearing ‘Mrs’ shorts and wearing her fab wedding heels,  she sat in the makeup chair getting the final touches.  She peeked out over the balcony, admiring the gorgeous day over the Chesapeake Bay, and saw him standing there in the distance with his friends.  She giggled and watched for a few minutes as he was relaxing with his boys before they had to get ready.  She was calm but excited to see him later that day, standing, waiting for her at the end of the aisle.

And as she made her way down the aisle with her sister, she took his hand and stood next to him, right where they were each supposed to be.  Holding her hands in his to comfort her nerves, his face lit up and he gave her the biggest cheese ball grin in true Corey style.  Through this crazy life of twists and turns, they had finally found their way, next to each other, right where they were supposed to be.

Jamie and Corey, your wedding was perfection, your friends and family are amazing, your laughter is heartwarming, your love is joyous…and your dance moves, those are epic.  I feel so honored to be a part of it all, to be able to document your love and bear witness to true everlasting love.  Hope you guys got to sit back and relax, and had a wonderful time in Hawaii!  Love, Megan

Well hello there gorgeous Pour La Victoire heels, what a prefect addition to Jamie’s classic look.

Strickler wedding shoes

Her dress was so beautiful.  It was simple and classic, and fit her like a glove.

Jamie, you are stunning.

Jamie’s bridesmaids are so much fun, and I’m loving their dresses, each custom wrapped for a different look.

Such a touching moment when Christy, Jamie’s sister walked her down the aisle to Corey.

They are so cute together, I love this one!

And as the light quickly faded over the Chesapeake Bay, we caught the last minutes of the sun’s warm glow, perfectly illuminating some sweet moments with just Corey and Jamie.

Work it gurrl.

This gorgeousness is my absolute favorite image from the day.  It’s so beautiful, peaceful, clean, and classic, not to mention how amazing they look.

The party got started with an adorable first dance…

…and didn’t stop there.  Everyone was out on the dance floor.

Jamie’s sister Christy gave a touching and hilarious speech highlighting a few funny stories from Corey and Jamie’s relationship.

A groom that can, and does, the worm at his own wedding?  Plus ten cool points!

Jill + Devin: Strong Mansion; Dickerson, Maryland Wedding

The hot weather broke, and the sun beamed brightly on the rolling hills that September day.  She seemed to glide up to the Mansion, calm as ever, makeup and hair done, dress in tow.  She took a look around and couldn’t believe that the day was finally here. Jill’s eye for design was truly apparently throughout the whole day and, this most perfect day, this vision, this most perfect fiancé, she couldn’t have put it together better if she tried.  As her mother laced up the back of her gorgeous dress,  Jill stared at herself in the mirror, I just can’t believe this day is finally here, she said to her girlfriends standing around her snapping photographs.  Her mother finished, she slipped on her shoes, and she was ready to go see Devin, waiting downstairs to get a peek of his best friend, his lovely bride, his soon to be wife.  And the day, it went more perfect than she could have ever planned, surrounded by their most loved friends and family, Jill and Devin stood on the lawn of the Strong Mansion vowing to be there for each other through the good days and the bad days.

Jill and Devin, what an amazing day.  I’m in love with everything about your wedding, the weather, the Mansion, the flowers, the details, your love; it couldn’t have been more perfect.  And being able to photograph your most perfect day is truly an honor.  Your love, true love, is long, lasting, and perseveres, thank you for letting me be a part of it all.  Love, Megan Beth

Ory Florals did a amazing job with Jill’s bouquet, and all the florals.  And her stunning dress?  Essence of Australia from Betsey Robinson’s bridal salon.

Many thanks to Nichole Hesenperger for Jill’s flawless makeup, and Amy Lettis from Glow Salon in Annapolis, for making Jill look absolutely stunning that day.

Jill and Devin wanted to optimize time to take wedding portraits, so they opted to see each other before the ceremony for a first look, in addition to the time they scheduled at the beginning of cocktail hour.  It was intimate, touching, and beautiful; and Devin, he was speechless when he finally saw his gorgeous bride.

Beautifulness, I love this image.

Look at those fierce eyes, work.it.girl.

Is this the cutest thing ever? Jill was so excited to walk down the aisle.

Married!

Devin looked dashingly handsome.

This is my favorite photograph from the day because they are just beaming happiness and love.

The Strong Mansion was such a beautiful backdrop for their classy event.

And the details that Jill planned, they were all amazing.

And then they danced, laughed, and absorbed the rest of the lovely day, as husband and wife.

Elleni + Jason: Glenview Mansion Wedding.

They’d known each other since they were younger, but it wasn’t until high school when they became close friends.  Elleni’s the life of the party, and Jason, well he’s a goof ball, so it’s no surprise they fell in love.  He proposed a very important question, she promised she’d be his, and then off he went.  He had joined the Army and was sent off to what seemed like another world, while she stayed behind and went on to finish school.  Their relationship spanned across the globe, long distant phone calls with bad connections, short visits when he was home on leave, and flowers for special occasions.  It stood the test of time, the test of life, and one thing still remained, their love.  When they stood up in front of their friends and family, they vowed not only to be man and wife, but to be best friends, partners in this crazy life.  They have already endured more than most couples, and now they vowed that no matter where life would take them, that they would get through it together.

Elleni and Jas, thank you thank you thank you, for letting me be part of your amazing day.  I feel so blessed to been able to see your relationship grow, and then to witness this day when you became man and wife.  You’ve made it this far, and stuck by each other through it all.  Never lose hope through what can seem impossible times, and never stop laughing.  You’re wedding was a dream, no really Elleni, you did a beautiful job planning every last detail.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you no matter where in the world it might be.  Love you guys.  Megan Beth

Well hello there, Badgley Mischka. You brighten anyday.

In Elleni’s Ethiopian culture, the bride gets ready with only a few of her closest family members, then comes out to reveal herself where the rest of friends and family members are waiting to give her a send off.  It’s such a exciting thing to experience with lots of cheering, songs and a couple tears.  This is my favorite moment from the day, when her grandmother is giving Elleni her blessings, and well wishes.

Finally after being engaged for three years, so excited to be married.

Elleni looked stunning, ST-TUNNING, that day, and her bridesmaids, well they looked just as beautiful.

I love love love the image on the left.  Hello gorgeous, and you’re not so bad yourself either Jason.

A little vintage Rolls Royce for the wedding day, yes please!

Elleni and Jason planned an amazingly beautiful reception at the Glenview Mansion in Rockville, Maryland.  It was the perfect setting for a romantic, elegant affair.

Nicole + Mike: Annapolis, Maryland Westin Wedding

They stood next to each other at the alter, holding hands, and couldn’t stop smiling.  The day was finally here, and they both were so excited, the kind of excitement that you often see with a new relationship.  But this wasn’t a new relationship, this was the beginning of a marriage, their marriage.  Mike kept looking at Nicole, and Nicole’s face lit up, she was truly smiling from the bottom of her heart.  As they listened to the pastor she placed her right temple on Mike’s shoulder.  She was standing right beside him, but she needed to be closer.  After they were pronounced man and wife they looked out at all their family and friends and cheered.  Because that kind of excitement, just sometimes can’t be contained.

Nicole and Mike, I’ve never felt so blessed to be part of a wedding, your wedding.  Your excitement to be married, and love for each other is so apparent, and quite frankly absolutely adorable.  Thank you for letting me document your most special day, and truly making me feel a part of your family.  Your never ending laughs and smiles will get you through anything.  And if you’re struggling and need a pick me up, just have Mike shake it on the dance floor! ;)  Many wishes for a blessed and amazing marriage.  Love Always, Megan Beth

Gateway Florist rocked it again, and did a fabulous job on the florals.

Nicole’s stunning one shoulder Allure Couture gown came from Jo Lin’s bridal in Columbia, South Carolina, and fit her like a glove.

On top of Up Do’s for I Do’s making Nicole beam that day, her smile made her absolutely radiant.

One gorgeous group of bridesmaids.

Mike looking quite handsome with his boys.

Nicole looking at Mike.  Her dad looking at her.  And Nicole’s mom tearing up.  Such a special moment. And no, I DID NOT TEAR UP.

Just as everyone came walking back down the aisle, Nicole’s grandmother met her in the backroom and asked to see the ring.  She looked down at the sparkler, in awe at how beautiful it, and at just how gorgeous her granddaughter looked that day.

I adore the image on the left.  It truly reflects Nicole’s effortless beauty, grace, and elegance.

As we made our way through downtown Annapolis Nicole insisted on jumping up on this bike.  It’s brides that totally trust me, and are excited about making beautiful images that make me love my job.

This image is definitely one of my favorites from the day.  And a huge thank you to ReSail for letting us borrow your bike!

Nicole’s father gave such a heartwarming and hilarious speech to start off the reception.

Asal and Nick: Baltimore, Maryland Wedding

She stood there waiting for her groom to see her for the first time, he slowly crossed the street across from their beautiful home, and walked up behind her.  The often stern and intimidating Nick, had melted and was grinning from ear to ear, a smile which I’m sure Asal will never forget.  He was speechless, standing there looking at just how beautiful Asal looked on their wedding day.  He held her hands out, twirled her around, and gave her the first kiss of the day.  It had taken many years to get to this point; commuting many miles to see each other, years of school, and working many late nights but all had brought them to this point, to this moment where they stood in front of each other and vowed to be husband and wife.

Asal and Nick, Thank you for letting me photograph your amazingly gorgeous wedding.  I feel so honored to be a part of it and am so blessed that I have been able to witness your love grow over the years.  Here’s to wishing you many more years of love and happiness.  Love, Megan

Asal’s Watters Brides dress from Betsey Robinson was a beautifully stunning choice for the elegant affair.

The ever fabulous Oksana from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics did an amazing job with Asal’s makeup.

And Maria from Melba Hair Design killed it with her elegant but modern updo.

I have never seen Asal look more stunning, seriously girl, absolutely stunning.

Although Asal and Nick were apprehensive about breaking tradition and seeing each other before the ceremony, ultimately they both decided having a first look made the most sense for their wedding day.  They wanted a few moments together alone on the wedding day, in addition to insuring enough time to take relaxed portraits on the most important day of their lives.  Nick was, well, speechless.

Nick truly has the best laugh.

This beautifulness is my favorite photograph from the day, what a gorgeous couple.

There was no shortage of smiles and laughs during the beautiful ceremony at St. Nick’s in Baltimore.

Asal and Nick’s family and friends were so excited for them, a little too excited as they pelted them with unlimited handfuls of rice.

Asal’s vision transformed the Grand Lodge into a stunning affair full of colorful vases and gorgeous blooms.

Both Asal’s Persian and Nick’s Greek cultures were incorporated into the day.  My favorite?  The money throwing, of course.
