I absolutely adore Jamie and Joe.  They have a amazing wedding planned for September at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, which is totally fitting because Jamie and Joe are both graphic designers, who met at work after a secret courtship so as not to get in trouble.  I met up with them in Frederick County, Maryland on a very steamy June day but regardless they were all smiles.  You know how much I love a couple when I traipse through huge straw fields acquiring poison ivy for the next month, KIDDING, kinda.  But obviously it was totally worth it, can’t wait for September!

I mean, really, how cute is Joe.  Err, I guess boys don’t like being called cute, but everything about him is so darn cute.  Jamie picked a keeper!

We found this precious little wild strawberry.  Then I dared Joe to eat it, he was too scared.  ;)

It is clearly evident how happy he makes her, Joe makes her smile all the time.

Hello there gorgeous light in an old barn, that we DID NOT TRESPASS TO GET INTO.

Sometimes couples have a hard time picking locations for our engagement sessions, but since Jamie and Joe are both graphic designers they had a vision for our shoot, and picked the most amazing spots.

Definitely my favorite photograph from the day.  It’s so them: happy, smiling, and in love.

‘He did it right in this very spot.’ We stood at work, and the light coming from her finger was just about as bright at the smile on her face as she told me how he proposed.  I ouued and ahhed over her fancy new ring and was excited to hear what she had planned.  It won’t be for a few years she said, once I finish up Pharmacy school, then we will get married.  And just as she planned Asal finally finished school, and has planned a beautiful wedding at the end of July.

I’m so excited for Asal and Nick’s wedding at the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, with the biggest Greek/Persian wedding reception you have ever seen at the Grand Lodge in Baltimore.

Is your pharmacist this hot?  Cause I know mine isn’t.  So fierce, Asal, so fierce.

Ever since I’ve know Asal (we used to work together), she has wanted a photograph in front of a barn door as I have done before.  Hard to do in Baltimore, but I think it was her lucky day.  Barn door, in downtown Baltimore, BOOM.

Nick is pretty much a professional model in front of the camera.

This one is definitely my favorite from the day.

Nicole and Mike are so adorable, and I can’t wait for their August wedding in downtown Annapolis at the super chic Westin. Thanks guys for spending the afternoon with me roaming the streets of Bethesda!

Well hello there gorgeous!

I love this one, it’s so them.

The weather in St. Michaels on that Sunday afternoon was gorgeously warm and breezy. Katie and Mike have planned a fabulous wedding at The Oaks for this July so we decided to meet up there to get things started. I waited inside for Katie to get changed, she came out, gave me a big hug, and then wanted to make sure that it would be okay that they had three outfit changes. And I was all Pusht, um yea, sounds awesome. And for the next several hours Katie, Mike, and I roamed the Oaks, and the streets of St. Michael’s shooting on the beautiful Sunday afternoon documenting their love.

Seriously, Katie has the most gorgeous smile.

Katie’s bike riding skills rivaled Lance Armstrongs. ;)

Then we headed over to the Inn at Perry Cabin where Wedding Crashers was filmed for some afternoon light goodness.

I love this one.

Oh yes, and how could I forget, Katie also came to me with the idea that she may like to get the in the canoe they had and somehow incorporate that into the session. My heart almost exploded with joy.

When Chaela and I had been chatting about where they wanted to do their engagement session, she threw around a couple of ideas. A barn, and a field-ish area. And I somehow got the ingenious idea to go to Sugarloaf Mountain. INGENIOUS.

I arrived about thirty minutes early and loveliness awaited me. Muddy mucky dirt roads, and oh yea, they closed the whole mountain, CLOSED PEOPLE?!?! How can you close a WHOLE MOUNTAIN?! So of course, I then had to think up a plan B, in 10 minutes. Luckily I found a few awesome spots, and when Chaela and Scott showed up we decided just to hop in the car and drive around till we saw some good places to shoot. And I must say, it turned out for the best, because what we found was drop dead gorgeous fields with the perfectly glowing sun as it was setting.

Can’t wait for next May when they get married in Annapolis, it’s going to be an amazing wedding for sure.

Couples always ask me what they should wear to engagement sessions, and well, me…woman with no style, gives the best suggestions that I can. But my couples always rock it out and show up dressed so stylish and trendy. I love Chaela’s boots…and might just have to get myself a pair.

Katie and Bill are absolutely hilarious and spent the whole evening laughing. With each other. And a little at each other. Ok Bill now turn into her, INTO HER BILL, other way! Katie’s smile beamed brightly as she erupted with laughter. Because love is about being able to laugh together, even in those confusing and uncomfortable moments.

Katie and Bill, I’m so excited for your St. Mary’s wedding in Annapolis next year. I can’t think of a more perfect couple to be able to witness your life, love, and laughter.
