Juicy Details.

Since I never really introduced myself, I thought I would give you some interesting factoid about Megan Beth.

1. I wanted to be a singer when I was younger, and knew all the words to the songs on the radio in the 80′s. These days the only gigs I can get are in the MB Shower, and the Honda Accord. Although both great venues..it’s a tough crowd.

2. I’m a germ-a-phob. I never open doors with my hands, at least I try not to, and in college would always use my sleeve to open germie college doors. I even wipe down the door handles in my apartment. Clorox Wipes are the best!

3. I have a love affair with Pottery Barn, and could probably describe their inventory better then a Pottery Barn employee.

4. Brian, my sister’s husband and I, used to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2-3 times a week. We know almost the whole movie line by line and quote it often. My favorite line is “You need to find yourself a girl mate, or maybe you have but are otherwise incapable of wooing said strumpet. You aren’t a eunuch are you?!”

5. Right before I fall asleep, I get food cravings. I stumble out of bed and get something to eat and bring it back to my bed and eat it either with just the hall light on or the light from my cell phone. Usually this mid-night meal consists of either a big bowl of chocolate ice cream, or dry cereal.

6. I am a creature of habit and have worn the same silver color nail polish on my toes for the last seven years.

7. I have a weird obsession with black Sharpies. Don’t know why…but I love them.

8. I’m a hard-core thrill seeker, and nothing has really scared me yet. Plus I will usually volunteer to go first. It has been rumored that I climbed one of the radio towers in Annapolis. I cannot confirm or deny this.

9. I love love love light blue chapsticks. Nothing fancy, just plain SPF chapstick. I have about 15-20 and always have a couple on me at all times.

10. I took a semester of Arabic. And yes it’s as hard as they say it is.
SabaH-iL-Kheer: Good Morning. This is my name in Arabic: ?????.

I’m LOST

Oh my. I’m completely 100% addicted to LOST and I hate it. I’m sure there are some sort of help groups for people like me. Ugh. But I must say that tonight’s show was freakin great. So many questions answered, and so many crazy things happen. It’s so good, I was laughing and crying all in the same show! I won’t give anything away if you haven’t seen it…but let’s just say you should watch it. Go to abc.com

I must admit that I have a huge crush on Sawyer. And tonight’s season finale fulfilled my Sawyer fix!
Ooolaalaa he’s such a smart ass and so rugged, how could you not like him?!

Not giving any secrets away here, but you will be just as LOST as you were when you started.

Anonymous - Ok, girl…. you’l have to fight me for Sawyer. Besides he’s too old for you…. ok, too young for me. But still very cute!
I’ll have to watch it tonight.

Eight years in the making.

Although the forecast had been calling for rain that day, someone was watching out for them. Amanda and Brian were married outside at the Kent Manor Inn on the Eastern Shore, then dessert and drinks at the bride’s mother’s house.

Amanda and Brian are proof that true love exists in this world. Their love is what others seek out to find, and a love that will truly stand the test of time. I can attest to their relationship because Amanda is my sister, and Brian her best friend.

From the moment I met Brian while visiting my sister at the University of Maryland, I knew he was something special. I hadn’t gotten the scoop from Amanda yet, but I knew she fancied him. That night Brian looked out for me as if he were my older brother. To this day Brian and Amanda look after me, help me, and make sure I’m ok. Brian is the amazing brother I never had, and Amanda the sister I’ve always wanted to be like.

Amanda and Brian’s relationship has stood the test of time. From meeting freshman year at UMD, law school, and Amanda teaching, the last eight years have only solidified their everlasting relationship. They’ve conquered the world …hiking every trail and mountain, biking every path, sailing all the seas on the Black Pearl, kayaking the Chesapeake, trips to Key West, Myrtle, OC, Paris, Cali, they’ve done it all.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. I love you guys!

Some rockin’ shoes!

Bride’s gorgeous parents. :)

Waiting for everyone to arrive.

Since she’s my sister, she understands my need for creative photography…
so when I told her to ‘go jump up on that bail of hay’, she knew it was ‘go-time’

"Land of the free…because of the brave"

Two years ago I spent my Memorial Day at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in DC…just me and my camera. It’s such a peaceful and serene place. You can feel the souls of those etched in the wall looking down upon you. Loved ones leave pictures, flags, and memorabilia of those lost.

As I was making my way down the wall I noticed a group of three Vietnam Vets. All standing at a particular spot on the wall. One guy was particularly intimidating with a long pony tail in Harley Davidson chaps, leather jacket and a bandana around his head. As he leaned over and took a pencil rubbing of a name he broke down and collapsed against the wall sobbing. And through his tears uttered the words “we miss you man, we’ll never forget you”. I didn’t know ‘him’, or them but I couldn’t help but feel his pain and found tears streaming down my face.

No one should have to go through this, no one should have to feel the pain of losing someone to war.
Mothers. Fathers. Sisters. Brothers. Children. Friends. are all affected by the tragedy of war.

I did two rubbings myself. One of Gary L. Jenks and the other of Orlando Torres-Oyola.

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Gary Jenks, and Orlando Torres-Oyola, those who lost their lives, those who have fought, are fighting and will be fighting for our country. I know many brave young people who are serving our country in the military. My heart goes out to those who have lost love ones, and to those whose loved ones are deployed.
I can only hope for every last one of them to return safely.

Thank you for all you do.
