Sometimes I feel like I work too much. In addition to the 900 things that I do, I work as a server at a Italian restaurant called Olazzo in downtown Silver Spring. I’m there so often I’m thinking about setting up a cot in the middle of the kitchen
so I don’t have to drive home at night.
This weekend was especially busy because we just had a review come out in the Washington Post. It was great, it seemed like we tripled the amount of customers. On Friday night, I met one of my new favorite customers, Ian. We had a long conversation about serious hot topics in the world today. You know, favorite color, who is better Batman or Spiderman, and what he did at his best friend Nicholas’s birthday party. Oh, did I forget to mention he’s four years old. The conversation was going great till I got seated with two more tables and had to jet. I came back to Ian’s table to find him buried in his mothers lap. I heard him mumble, “mom ask her” and her response was “no Ian, you sit up and ask her, she’s right here”. So he sits up and with half an eye peeking out from in between his fingers over his face, and
hesitantly whispers the words, “will wu marry me?”
It’s nights like that, that make it all worth while. :)

That is me on the right, and my friend Alexandra. Doing what we do best.
So if you’re in the area, out of the area, or just passing through, make sure you come and stop by. I’m always there.
